Jillian, a graphic designer, and Samantha, an elementary education teacher, met on a "blind friend date". They hit it off immediately and after two hours of brainstorming, came up with the idea of A Soda Pop Kid. Jill, a mother of two, who's 5 year old daughter had dealt with bullying in her pre-school, wanted a brand that felt all inclusive. Sam, a mother of four, after hearing Jill's story felt they shared the same vision; spread the kindness, and they could do through their collaborative line.
After two months of diving head first into design, 6 patterns were born. Sam and Jill, both children of the 80s, wanted a retro-feel good vibe to radiate off their clothes. Jill, a Miami native, and Sam, originally from Massachusetts, saw a need in the market for light-weight childrens' clothing. The girls leggings and shirt are soft and stretchy (the leggings run small, so order a whole size up!), the boys shorts double as shorts and swim trunks, and are made from 100% recycled fabric. They are soft cotton, with a little stretch, perfect for late summer nights, early fall. All patterns are limited editions and will be released only once.
From Jill and Sam: "We hope our brand bring your littles a little bit of softness, a little bit of laughter, and a whole lot of kindness. We feel that we were able to merge mom approved fabrics with kid approved styles, to make a product that both will love and be able to enjoy for years to come. We are so happy to be able to do what we love, and we are incredibly excited to share it with you. Thank you for being here. It means the world to us."
